  • copy of CSMLS Student membership card

  • copy of current resume

  • signed job description (this will come from your to-be employer; either thru you or directly from them)

  • signed statement indicating you have applied for CSMLS Transitional Graduate membership (signed by you and your to-be manager)

  • copy of CSMLS completed application for Transitional Graduate membership* (without payment information included if paid via credit card)

  • either copy of your diploma, or a letter (on official letterhead) from your school stating you have completed your course or will be completing it

  • copy of your CSMLS examination notification letter indicating you are due to write the next exam

Once we have all the required information/documentation, the NSCMLT may issue you a Temporary license.  When you have completed your exam and have forwarded us a copy of the Pass/Fail Notification (along with a copy of your Active CSMLS card) we may upgrade your status to Practising (at no additional cost).  CSMLS also does not charge extra for upgrading from Transitional Graduate to Active as far as we are aware.

*Students, wishing to practice as a MLT prior to receiving their CSMLS certification exam results, are required to hold an Transitional Graduate CSMLS membership.  This enables the students to have the required PLI coverage until they are able obtain an Active CSMLS membership.
