DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
The Nova Scotia College of Medical Laboratory Technologists is a self governing profession. It receives its authority from the NS College of Medical Laboratory Technology Act and Regulations.
The Board oversees the administration of the college and ensures that it complies with the objectives outlined in the NSCMLT Act. The Board is mandated to convene at least 3 times annually. The Board is comprised of seven registered registrants (combined laboratory and X-ray technologists (CLXT), medical laboratory assistants (MLAs), or medical laboratory technologists (MLTs)), who are appointed by the Board, along with three public members appointed by the NS Government.
Meetings are open to the registrants and the public. If you wish to attend, please call in advance of the meeting to assist in spacing or sharing of call-in information.
